University of Widya Kartika (UWIKA) Surabaya held the 23rd Bachelor (S1) and 10th Diploma (D3) graduation on Saturday, November 23, 2013 in the Ballroom of Mercure Grand Mirama Hotel Surabaya. In this graduation, there were 132 students consisted of 60 students from Management (S1), 23 students from Accounting (S1), 31 students from Information Technic (S1), 7 students from English Literature (S1), and 11 students from Mandarin (D3) who had completed their studies and would be inaugurated by the Rector.
In accordance with the motto of UWIKA which was University of Business Excellence for Entrepreneurship in Indonesia, Dr . Joshua Murpin Sembiring, S.E., M.Sc., as Rector of UWIKA advised the graduates had to be able to continue to develop their entrepreneurship skills and create employment themselves as they had got in any academic and students activities in UWIKA.
Among the 132 students who were graduated on that day, Ervina Lukmanto from Chinese Department won 3 awards which were Active Student, The Best Department and University Students with cumulative grade point (GPA) of 3.94. This student who got full scholarship from the PT. Bantex Indonesia during her study, completed her study with exactly 3 years with 1 final year in Liu Zhuo City Vocational College in China. In addition to academic achievement, Ervina, who were currently working in an importer company which gave her the scholarship, also got many achievements from her hobby in dance. The regional, national, and international awards from dance had been achieved by this girl, who also had her own business as a Mandarin and a dance teacher. ***
