University of Widya Kartika (Uwika), once again, showed its achievements. At the end of May 2013, Kopertis VII, East Java rewarded the campus located in Sutorejo Prima Utara II / 1, as one of the best campuses in East Java.
It was stated in Kopertis VII East Java Coordinator’s Decree No. 070/K7/SK/KL/2013. It stated about The Appointment of Private University Award Recipient for Campus Excellence and Featured Private Colleges in The Region of Kopertis VII East Java. Based on the appointment, Uwika was in 16th position from 327 private universities in East Java. With a total of 445.04 points, Uwika managed to be one of the top 10 Universities from 75 campuses in City of Heroes.
A number of parameters had been used by Kopertis VII as the judgment. One of them was the world rankings on various Internet sites. In addition, other elements which were considered included lecturers, achievements, grants, IT systems, student affairs, cooperation, and so forth.
Not only that. Kopertis VII also named Uwika at 3rd rank of campuses in East Java. It was underlied by the fact that Uwika had managed to gain three ratings Institutional Relations and Governance, Research and Community Services, and Student Affairs.
With these results, Uwika deserves to be an option to continue study. Therefore, the quality of the existing campus in Sutorejo Prima Utara II / 1 was significantly recognized in East Java. The assessment was given accurately and measured by the Office of Kopertis VII as a credible party to conduct performance appraisals for private universities in East Java.
