The moment of 66th birthday celebration was used by the Indonesian Foundation for Education and Teaching (YPPI) to share. Monday, September 2, 2013, Committee of the 66th Anniversary of YPPI distributed 225 packs of bag and school supplies to the students of SDN Tambakwedi 508 Surabaya.
The arrival YPPI representatives, Dra. Theresia Henywati, Chief of SMA YPPI 2, Yulia Setyarini, S.E., M.A., Chairman of the Committee for the 66th Anniversary YPPI, Deasy Mariane Isabela Kaunang, S.IP., Vice Chairman of the Committee for the 66th Anniversary YPPI, Aditya Andreani, S.E., PR of Widya Kartika University and his entourage were greeted enthusiastically by the students. Parents who incidentally picked up their children were also happy. As a result, although it was hot that day, everyone present felt excited.
Yulia Setyarini, S.E., M.A., explained, the social service was a concern of YPPI toward education.”What we did was not great. But, we hope, this can be useful for the students,” she said.
The major impact was not always in form of material. It may be that by providing school bags and equipment, the students became more enthusiastic and motivated to study. Thus, their performance will improve day by day. “The hope is like that,” she continued.
Similar feelings were expressed by Dra. Theresia Henywati. According to her, elementary school students are candidates for the next generation. Thus, everyone who loves this nation must have a concern for them. So that in the future, this nation can print out and have a reliable leader.
